It’s time for Fajita Friday to shine! This recipe is quick, nummy and it’s cooked in one dish for easy cleanup… BONUS!

Chili Lime Sirloin Steak Fajitas

  • prep time: 15 minutes
  • cook time: 15 minutes
  • total time: 30 minutes

Servings: Dinner for 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 Free Range Top Sirloin Steaks
  • 1/2 White Onion, sliced
  • 2 Red Bell Peppers, sliced
  • 2 Yellow Bell Peppers, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Honey
  • Flour Tortillas
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 2 tbsp. Olive oil
  • 2 limes
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Red Chili Flakes, desired spice
  • 1 Tbsp. Ground Cumin
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Cilantro, chopped
  • Sour Cream, for serving
  • Salsa, for serving

Instructions:

  1. Whisk olive oil, the juice from 1 lime, garlic, honey, cilantro, chili flakes, salt, and pepper
  2. Place steaks in a ziplock bag and pour marinade over steak and allow to marinate for 30 minutes. For more intense flavor, refrigerate for 2 hours to overnight
  3. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
  4. Slice steak against the grain and place it into the heated skillet. Cook until the desired doneness
  5. When the steak is cooked, remove from heat and allow to rest
  6. Add another tbsp. of oil to the skillet, and then add the peppers and onions, cooking until onions are transparent and peppers have softened
  7. Warm tortillas in the microwave (or in the oven)
  8. Remove skillet from heat and add avocados and lime slices to the skillet
  9. Serve with warmed tortillas, sour cream, and salsa!
